The Grinder

The Grinder is generally a fearless glutton for painand punishment. He uses scrappy play and a blue collar
work ethic to scrape the puck out from around the boards
in the offensive zone. Games are won along the boards.
Effective grinding teams stand to pick up two points.

Grinders muck in front of the net, taking the necessary
bumps and clutches from defenders whose job it is to keep
them off the puck. Good Grinders open up ice in front of
the net for finesse players.
